Not worth it
By Sean from New York on 9/19/2009
Pros:
Adjustable racks work wel, Nice design, Quiet
Cons:
Does not clean dishes, Glasses are spotty, Silverware is stained
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

We bought this from Sears. We have 2 Kitchen Aid dishwashers side by side. The older one we inherited with the house we bought. The older model outcleans this new model we bought last year by far. They both use the same water supply, jet dry, soap, etc. Our new Kitchen Aid, which was [$] at Sears, leaves very dirty glasses and silverware. It's embarrassing. The plates and and pots are clean. The unit is quiet. I would rather have a slightly noisier model in exchange for cleaning capacity. We had our first service call on it weeks after buying it and two more since. Each time we heard the unit is working fine. One technician said "they don't make them like they used to," which was his solution to our problem. We are exchnaging it for another brand and model. We owned a Miele before and were very happy with it.
